Spring (Apr, May, June)

ContainerCrazyCT Wkshop Flyer 2015

Spring is the most popular time for starting up your outdoor decor at your residence or business. It signals renewal and fresh air as we awaken from the slumbers of winter time.

Plants in very early spring are typically tulips, daffodils, pansies, and some other cold tolerant plants which can handle a quick early spring frost. However, mixing in the right type of perennials will offer foliage and later blooms.

Spring is also when our seedlings are sprouting and growing, such as for my tomato starts which actually some are started as early as March in my greenhouse. I also grow various annuals, or unusual plants, such as castor bean plants to use in container gardens.

For timing in Connecticut, you may opt to wait for your early May install during the 1st or 2nd week of May when we are beyond any chances of frost for both vegetable and mix patio arrangement planters.

Contacting Cathy Testa of Container Crazy CT anytime is welcomed to discuss your thoughts.

Bear in mind to schedule early spring as early as possible. Winter time is a good time to contact Cathy Testa to discuss your needs and goals.
